DTK1234 is a general education course for non-design majors at National University of Singapore where students learn creative problem-solving through a human-centered approach. The course guides students through ambiguity, observation, rapid ideation, prototyping, and testing while emphasizing creativity, empathy, and experimentation.
The DTK1234 logomark is built from two overlapping “D” shapes that form a continuous loop, a visual metaphor for the iterative design thinking process. Its gentle curves and soft geometry convey approachability, mirroring the supportive environment created by tutors and instructors. The overlapping forms introduce depth, representing the layered understanding that grows with each cycle of research, ideation, prototyping, and testing.
The animated version highlights the formation of the loop, reinforcing iteration and movement as core themes.

The identity includes a flexible set of components that extend the logomark’s visual language.
The brand guide was developed to ensure a seamless learning experience across all DTK1234 touchpoints — worksheets, facilitator guides, lecture slides, and digital platforms.
